DIRECT HIRE - CNC Machinist

3pm-11pm
$17-29/hr Depending on Experience
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes, mills, and other equipment to produce parts to specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot issues with machines and make adjustments as necessary.
- Inspect finished parts to verify conformance to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.
- Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Knowledge of G-code programming is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Ability to lift and or move up to 50lbs throughout the entire shift.
- Must have steel toed boots.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and stoop.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle and feel.
- Specific vision abilities required for various jobs include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
- Ability to understand and communicate (talk-read-hear) work instructions in English
