Mold Setter – South Bend, IN
3rd shift 10pm-6:30am (train 6am-2:30pm)
$18/hr
Job Duties:
Mold setters are responsible for machine startups, mold changes, work on processes to fine tune new/existing molds for optimization, training material handlers and operators, complete daily production paperwork, interact with Quality, Tool Room, Maintenance and engineering to solve day-to-day issues
Requirements:
- 5+ years or experience in plastic injection molding and scientific molding/decoupled molding
- Ability to lift and or move up to 50lbs throughout the entire shift
- Experience with hand tools
- Experience using cranes a plus
- Strong Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read & follow instructions
- Ability to work well with tool room management
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and stoop
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle and feel
- Specific vision abilities required for various jobs include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
- Ability to understand and communicate (talk-read-hear) work instructions in English
