Job Duties:
- Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and building systems according to established schedules to prevent breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. Execute repairs efficiently and effectively, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
- Equipment Calibration: Calibrate and adjust machinery and equipment as needed to ensure accurate performance and adherence to specifications.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, such as equipment failures or facility issues, to mitigate potential risks and restore functionality.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inspection reports. Provide regular updates on maintenance tasks completed and outstanding issues.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries. Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to address them.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and vendors as necessary to facilitate maintenance projects, repairs, and upgrades. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on maintenance priorities and objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in maintenance practices. Make recommendations for upgrades, replacements, or modifications to equipment and systems to optimize performance and longevity.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or similar field, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to maintenance activities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift and or move up to 50+lbs. throughout the entire shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and stoop.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle and feel.
- Specific vision abilities required for various jobs include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
- Ability to understand and communicate (talk-read-hear) work instructions.
