Experienced Line Cook – Commercial Kitchen (St. Louis Area)
Schedule:
Day shift, Monday–Friday (no weekends). Typical hours start at 7:00 am and end mid-afternoon, with earlier finish times on lighter days, and occasional extended days that may run into early evening.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an Experienced Line Cook / Prep Cook to join a fast-paced commercial kitchen that produces fresh grab-and-go meals for retail and institutional customers. You’ll help prepare ingredients, follow recipes, and ensure consistency and quality in a team-oriented environment. Some work may occur in refrigerated or cooler areas, so the ability to work in colder conditions is required.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes
Chop, slice, measure, and mix ingredients for daily production
Maintain food quality, consistency, and safety standards
Assist with kitchen cleanup and organization
Support smooth production flow in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of prep cook or line cook experience in a high-volume kitchen
Strong knife skills and knowledge of food prep techniques
Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy under time pressure
Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
Comfortable working in refrigerated or cooler environments
