Job Summary
This position provides production equipment and personnel with the primary raw and ?purchased materials required to produce acceptable product without any avoidable loss or ?damage of the materials.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety practices and procedures. Use the material supply list to select the correct raw materials from storage and deliver them to the production area. Read and adhere to instructions on work orders or work instructions. Ensure presses have an adequate supply of raw materials and transport materials using hand or power trucks. Transfer finished products from the production area to the shipping area. Keep presses clean by removing excess materials or debris and maintaining housekeeping around machinery. Inspect and clean material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Un-jam grinders, clean grinders and dryers, and check for contamination before setting up the next product, using necessary tools. Complete and maintain accurate records of all tasks performed. Train as mold setter and material mixer to serve as a backup when needed. Participate actively in Lean manufacturing initiatives and provide a detailed shift turnover to the incoming Material Handler. Certify as a forklift operator. Enter data into a computer. Comply with all policies at LMC Industries. Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Environmental Exposures: Remain on feet continuously for entire shift. Work in extreme variations of temperature throughout the year. Work extended periods of overtime with little or no notice. Dexterity to work in, on, around, under and with die presses. Wear required PPE. Handles material weighing up to 100lb
- SKILLS
- Proficient in shipping and receiving processes.
- Experience operating cherry pickers, clamp trucks, cranes, forklifts, and order pickers.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to material handling.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.50 per hour
