Welding Foreman

Smart Trades is searching for an experienced Welding Foreman to lead our welding team and oversee daily operations at our facility in Ogden, UT. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive welding knowledge, and the ability to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the welding team.
• Review project plans and ensure work is completed according to specifications and safety standards.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate welding staff performance.
• Schedule workflow and assign tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Inspect welds for quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Ensure a safe working environment and enforce adherence to company safety policies.
• Collaborate with management, engineers, and other trades to resolve issues and streamline operations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of welding experience, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques (TIG, MIG, Stick, etc.).
• Previous supervisory or foreman experience preferred.
• Knowledge of welding codes and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
• OSHA or other relevant safety certifications preferred.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday–Friday (hours may vary depending on project needs).
