Welding metal aluminum boxes for industrial electrical control panels. Some structural welding of 4g, and 3g welds building frames for E-House. Will have to pass a weld test. TIG MIG weld test on 12, 14, and 16 gauge. Also, weld on heavy tubing that is 3/8” and 1/4” wall to test fitter skills.
Pay Rate: $20.00 to $28.00+ DOE Wage will be determined on weld test
Day Shift: 7:00am to 3:30 pm with ½ lunch Monday – Friday
Swing Shift: 3:30pm to 12:00 am with ½ lunch Monday – Friday. With an additional $3.50 shift differential
Responsibilities:
Welding materials using the correct materials to join metal together
Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project
Sourcing the materials to be used in the project
Checking finished work to make sure it falls within the tolerance marked on the blueprints
Qualifications:
Knowledge of various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding
Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to read blueprints
Knowledge of metallurgy
Be able to meet the physical demands that welding will require
