SkillsetGroup is seeking a EHS Manager to work in the city of Irvine, CA area. The ideal individual will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of all safety, health, and environmental programs across our facilities. Your role is crucial in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while driving a culture of continuous improvement in EHS practices.  This will be a 1st Shift position and a Direct Hire opportunity.   To apply, email rmills@skillsetgroup.com



Job Order Details:

  • Job Title: EHS Manager
  • DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 
    • 1st shift:         8:00 am – 5:00 pm – hours may vary a little
  • Pay: $100-110k/yr., PLUS ability to earn up to 20% bonus


Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Safety Manager capacity with 5+ years of Food manufacturing/frozen foods industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety and environmental policies and procedures to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure the facility has an updated emergency response plan and lead emergency response efforts.
  • Create and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, and lead the safety committee.
  • Conduct regular safety orientations and refresher trainings.
  • Perform routine safety and environmental inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling programs to comply with environmental regulations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inspections and maintain permits and documentation.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce the company's environmental impact through resource conservation and waste reduction.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and emerging EHS trends.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality control teams to integrate EHS considerations into operations.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders to promote EHS best practices. 
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Bilingual is STRONGLY preferred.
