SkillsetGroup is seeking a Industrial Electrician to work in the city of Santa Fe Springs, CA area.  Responsible for reviewing drawings/schematics, wire electrical industrial panels per NEC codes.  Install and provide diagnostics/troubleshooting.  Analyze and solve electrical problems.  This will be a 1st shift position and a Temp-to-Hire opportunity.   To apply, email Rmills@skillsetgroup.com. 


Job Title: Industrial Electrician

  • Temp-to-Hire
  • Pay: $26-32/hr. 
  • Hours
    • 1st shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
    • Currently working 10-12 hour days and some Saturdays.


Responsibilities:

  • Examining drawings and schematics for the wiring of electrical industrial panels in accordance with NEC codes.
  • Wiring electromechanical equipment, including pumps, heaters, PLC, and executing field installations of process equipment and machinery.
  • Installing and conducting diagnostics/troubleshooting.
  • Assembling and wiring control equipment, such as Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Analyzing and resolving electrical problems.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience as an Industrial Electrician - not residential
  • Proficiency in interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
  • Capability to wire and layout Programmable Logic Controllers power & control panels.
  • Skill in bending, sizing, and routing conduit.
  • Knowledgeable in AC/DC motors and motor starters.
  • Familiarity with 480/240/120 volt systems.
  • Ability to install, calibrate, and connect transmitters, switches, and process control devices.
  • Proficient in reading ohmmeters, voltmeters, and utilizing various electricians' tools.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical codes.
  • Competence in calculating wire quantities and sizes in conduits based on diagrams.
  • Experience in running point-to-point tests and troubleshooting wiring problems.
  • Team-oriented, organized, and dedicated to meeting goals.
  • Bilingual is strongly preferred.
