Mechanical Design Engineer

Local Construction Management Firm is looking for an experienced HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer to join their award winning team! Our client offers exceptional benefits and the opportunity to grow with the organization!

Mechanical Design Engineer will work as part of a cross functional team that includes engineering managers, architects and projects managers who will designing new commercial HVAC systems as well as renovating existing systems. Qualified candidates must have at least 5 years HVAC design experience and have worked directly with the customer.

Additional job requirements are as follows;

• Mechanical design from concept to construction completion

• Job costing and estimates with the goal of keeping project within budget

• Evaluate job site and able to identify associated systems (plumbing, security,etc...) that would need to be incorporated in HVAC design

• Knowledge of building and energy codes/standards

• QC of documents and drawing to ensure compliance

• Experience with bids/RFI/RFP

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering

• LEED AP accreditation preferred

• Professional Engineer (PE) License is desired
