A respected national law firm is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join its busy litigation practice group. This team handles a diverse caseload across multiple practice areas, with a strong focus on consumer defense, compliance, commercial litigation, and financial services matters.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in state and federal courts.

Maintain and update case files, calendars, and deadlines through a computerized docket management system.

Communicate with clients to gather and verify case-related information.

Organize and manage discovery materials, exhibits, and supplemental documentation.

Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and correspondence.

Record time and assist with client billing documentation as needed.
Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, ideally in a litigation setting.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe/PDF software.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with e-filing in both state and federal courts required.

Experience with ProLaw or similar document management/billing software a plus.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
