Technical requirements include:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, including bates labeling, PDF document manipulation, and optimization

  • Advanced knowledge of e-filing systems in both state and federal courts

  • Experience with file-sharing tools for document collaboration

  • Understanding of the litigation process and its implications for legal assistant duties

  • Ability to utilize technology for timekeeping, billing, and administrative tasks

  • Experience with electronic document management systems

  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies as necessary

Administrative duties include:

  • Conducting conflicts checks and managing client files

  • Assisting attorneys with scheduling, calendaring, and travel arrangements

  • Communication with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties as directed

  • Management of electronic case files and litigation deadlines

  • Support for attorney time entries and office expenses

  • Processing vendor invoices and assisting with general office tasks
