Job Summary:
The Production Associate is responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate inventory, supporting shipping and receiving operations, and ensuring a safe and organized workspace.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the receiving process by checking in merchandise and verifying accuracy.
- Move materials from receiving or storage to shipping areas or designated zones.
- Sort and place inventory items on racks, shelves, or bins based on criteria like size, type, style, or color.
- Fulfill requisitions and picklists by retrieving and preparing materials for shipment.
- Follow proper packaging procedures (as outlined in packing SOPs).
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
- Complete documentation and labeling for outbound materials.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform additional tasks or duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
- Must be certified/authorized to operate all relevant machinery, including press brakes and mechanical presses (minimum of 8 hours on-the-job training required).
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, stockroom, or production experience preferred.
Language & Communication Skills:
- Ability to read and understand documents such as picklists, shipping labels, SOPs, and safety instructions in English.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively in team settings.
Math & Reasoning Skills:
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and basic problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and twist for long periods (up to 10-hour shifts).
- Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs (above shoulder height) and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs (at or below waist level).
- Must notify HR of any prescriptions or health changes that could affect job performance or safety.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to moving machinery, equipment, and varying noise levels.
- Work conditions may include environments above or below room temperature.
- Must comply with drug-free workplace requirements, including pre-employment and random drug testing administered by third-party agencies.
- Must follow all PPE guidelines and safety protocols.
