Lead Industrial Equipment Mechanic

Overview:
 We are seeking an experienced Industrial Equipment Mechanic to serve as the Lead Mechanic and acting Supervisor for second shift. This dual-role position combines hands-on mechanical repair with shift leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth production operations and maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Maintenance: Perform advanced preventive maintenance and repair on industrial production equipment such as wire drawing machinery, manufacturing presses, and similar systems.
• Shift Supervision: Oversee second shift operations, address production issues, and support overall workflow.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues to reduce equipment downtime.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move equipment and materials (training available if needed).
• Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts usage, and maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience: Demonstrated work history as an Industrial or Plant Equipment Mechanic.
• Leadership: Experience in a lead, supervisory, or management role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic industrial electrical repairs.
• Schedule: Must be available to work the full second shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday–Friday).
• Forklift: Willingness to obtain or maintain forklift certification (Experience preferred).
• Reliability: Ability to commute consistently to the job location.
