Essential Duties and Responsibilities •Perform maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and mechanical equipment under general supervision. •Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders. •Install, maintain, and repair production or processing equipment. •Fabricate and install machine guards, conveyors, and other mechanical components; replace motors and pumps as needed. •Maintain and repair fluid collection, distribution, and electro-mechanical systems. •Conduct advanced troubleshooting, including PLC and robotics systems. •Inspect, dismantle, overhaul, and reassemble a variety of machines and components to ensure optimal performance. •Fit and align machine parts, bearings, and other assemblies for smooth operation. •Provide training and technical guidance to less experienced maintenance staff. •Perform maintenance tasks at various skill levels as required. •Adhere to all safety regulations, procedures, and policies. •Work safely around a variety of industrial machinery, tools, and chemicals, maintaining constant awareness of potential hazards. •Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications •High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in a mechanical field preferred. •Minimum of three (3) years of technical training or equivalent experience. •At least two (2) years of hands-on experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electronic repairs. •Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and technical instructions. •Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal directions accurately. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements •Exposure to heat, dust, fumes, noise, and industrial environments. •Must be able to bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance. •Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, and safety clothing. •May require working in confined spaces or at elevated heights. •Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and chemical substances.
