Multiwire Drawing Operator

Job Description:

Under general supervision, the Multiwire Drawing Operator will be responsible for operating NIEHOFF MMH 121, MMH 101, and MMH 50 machines.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare for production according to the production plan, customer specifications, and production parameters (emulsion, mill, spindle supply, tempering controls, etc.).
• Enter relevant settings into the machine and load materials.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Take wire samples according to control plans and make necessary adjustments based on results.
• Combine input wire through welding.
• Report and inform supervisors of defective production or machine breakages.
• Monitor ongoing processes to ensure proper machine operation, adjusting or stopping machines as necessary.
• Perform simple maintenance and cleaning of machinery.
• Control and maintain the emulsion system, including cleaning and renewal.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow all safety and environmental regulations.

Shift Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• 4 days on / 3 days off schedule
• Alternating weekly hours: Week 1: 36 hours / Week 2: 48 hours
• Rotating shifts every 4 months

Qualifications:

• Must have a diploma, certificate, or license from a related vocational high school, proving necessary training and proficiency in conducting heavy and dangerous work (as per regulations on vocational training for employees in hazardous jobs).
• Basic knowledge of computer applications (preferred).

Location: Santa Teresa, NM 

Pay: $20.00/hour
