We are looking for a Safety Coordinator to minimize safety risks. The selected candidate will conduct safety observation reports on a regular basis, attend safety walks and inspections before or during each project to analyze safety risks, and educate employees on safety standards and expectations, including safe machinery operation.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities by notifying project managers/supervisors.
  • Participate in developing and conducting staff safety orientation training programs.
  • Conduct work area surveillance inspections, damage assessments, and personal injury investigations.
  • Document all accidents, safety violations, and unsafe conditions/activities, ensuring management is informed of violations.
  • Compile data, photographs, and reports related to accidents/incidents for submission to Human Resources.
  • Conduct new employee safety orientations and maintain training records.
  • Lead safety meetings, track minutes, and monitor attendance.
  • Develop and facilitate safety training meetings.
  • Track certifications and schedule employees for required training.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources on injured employees, ensuring compliance with doctor’s restrictions.


Requirements:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to give presentations and training in both languages.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with employees and management.
  • Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, if necessary.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required; a safety-related degree is preferred.
  • Additional education in Safety/OSHA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of construction safety experience.


Location: Santa Teresa


Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with the ability to work overtime as needed.

Pay: $22/hour
