Summary: Coordinates the work of the parts clerk(s) in stocking, recording inventory and disposition of spare parts and supplies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Fills out purchase requests for parts/supplies needed. Will assist plant superintendent in identification of and finding sources for machine parts and supplies. Will identify spare parts as per function and machine use. Generates purchase requisitions for parts and supplies. Oversees parts clerks in receiving, stocking, inventory and recording activity with all parts/supplies. Provides accurate up to date records of parts/supplies on hand. Maintains record of distribution and cost. Management reserves the right to change or modify the functions of this job as required to meet the needs for the organization. Therefore, other duties may be assigned. Ensures the work area is kept in a safe and orderly manner. This position works 8 hour shifts. Performs end-of-month raw materials wall to wall inventory. Operational and Communication: Communicates with vendors regarding availability and price of materials. Coordinates interaction between parts clerks, maintenance, and plant personnel in distribution of parts and supplies. Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
