• Controls inventories by coordinating movement of products from storage to warehouse and from warehouse to shipping.
• Duties and responsibilities
• Distributes work tasks to employees and ensures all tasks are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with established procedures.
• Assists in performing required tasks.
• Monitors in-transit shipments.
• Communicates with plant personnel and carriers about material needed to complete customer shipping orders, via e-mail or telephone.
• Monitors inventories by performing counts as required.
• Follows shipping windows schedules.
• Coordinates the storage of products by designing storage areas/locations. Updates location database as needed.
• In the absence of the Department Supervisor, initiates appropriate actions.
• Monitors and updates employees on operations procedures, safety practices and policy changes.
• Reports any employee issues to Supervisor.
• Directs employees on the maintenance and up-keep of an orderly and clean warehouse and outer trailer yard area.
• Prints orders to sort out for QC’s shipping.
• Follows direction and instructions given by immediate Supervisor ONLY. Failure to do so, may result in disciplinary action.
• Asks direct Supervisor for clarification in the event of any doubt with job duties.
• Performs FIFO verification.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED
• 2-3 years, experience as a Material Handler, must be Forklift Certified
• Must be knowledgeable with proper loading/unloading techniques and material storage.
• Basic Microsoft Office Skills – (Excel, Word, Outlook), data entry.
• Must have good coordination, organizational and planning skills. Dependable, time management, reporting and inventory control skill
are also essential.
• Must be knowledgeable in International and US Customs regulations for Imports and Exports
• Must be able to multitask and work under pressure.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Knowledge of SAP ERP system a must.
