Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Operator

Location: Santa Teresa, NM

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Salary: $22/hour 

Shift Schedule:

    •    12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

    •    4 days on/3 days off schedule

    •    Alternating weekly hours: 36 hours (Week 1) and 48 hours (Week 2)

    •    Rotating shifts every 3 months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Operator to maintain and repair machinery and equipment with electrical and mechanical components. This role involves troubleshooting issues, reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals, and performing repairs using various tools. Candidates must possess strong problem-solving abilities and a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

    •    Perform breakdown and maintenance tasks in a planned and programmed manner.

    •    Ensure proper maintenance and usage of buildings, machinery, and equipment by preparing and overseeing maintenance plans.

    •    Troubleshoot and repair machinery issues, including wiring, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems.

    •    Conduct root cause analysis for failures, prepare reports, and implement long-lasting solutions.

    •    Maintain backups of critical equipment and devices.

    •    Prepare technical specifications for new installations and ensure compliance with legal regulations and company standards.

    •    Implement mechanical solutions for new investments and design changes to enhance machine performance and continuity.

    •    Ensure all maintenance activities align with current regulations, and enforce safety rules for all employees.

Qualifications:

    •    Education in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent training such as diplomas, certificates, or licenses proving necessary skills).

    •    Proficiency in computer applications; SAP knowledge is a plus.

    •    Knowledge of management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001.

    •    Familiarity with automation, PLC, and control systems.

    •    Strong understanding of machining and welding technologies.

    •    Expertise in electric motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
