Job Title: Recruiter - CDL Drivers Trucking

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven CDL Drivers Recruiter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the trucking industry and the ability to attract, screen, and onboard qualified CDL drivers. The Recruiter will be responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing candidates to ensuring successful placements, while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate Sourcing: Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified CDL drivers. Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including online job boards, social media, industry networks, job fairs, and referrals. Screening and Selection: Conduct thorough screenings and interviews to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and fit with company culture. Evaluate driving records, endorsements, and compliance with CDL requirements.
Onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all required documentation, background checks, and drug screenings are completed in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential candidates, current employees, and industry contacts to create a robust pipeline of CDL driver talent. Compliance: Ensure all recruitment and hiring practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT requirements and EEO guidelines.
Data Management: Maintain accurate records of all recruiting activities, candidate interactions, and hiring decisions in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment activities, candidate pipeline, and hiring metrics to management. Employer Branding: Promote the company as an employer of choice by creating and managing job advertisements, attending industry events, and leveraging social media platforms.
Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the recruitment process, including candidate concerns or delays in hiring. Market Analysis: Stay informed of trends and developments in the trucking industry, including changes in regulations, market demands, and driver expectations, to adjust recruitment strategies accordingly.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience in recruiting, with a focus on CDL drivers or the trucking industry. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of CDL requirements, DOT regulations, and the challenges associated with recruiting and retaining CDL drivers.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Tools: Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, and social media platforms for recruitment purposes. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and improving recruitment processes.
Driver License: Possession of a valid driver’s license is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in the transportation or logistics industry. 3 years minimum experience and familiarity with labor market trends and best practices in driver recruitment.
