Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team. The QC Tech will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet our quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This role involves conducting inspections, performing tests, and collaborating with the production team to maintain product excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular quality assessments on incoming materials and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Perform inspections and tests, including sensory evaluations (e.g., taste, color, odor) and measurements of product dimensions.
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with production staff to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
- Participate in internal audits and support external inspections by regulatory agencies.
- Maintain and calibrate quality control equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor's degree in food science, biology, chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in using quality testing equipment and software.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform inspections and tests, including standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in quality control or food safety (e.g., HACCP, ISO 9000) are advantageous.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.
