RBA Staffing has a direct hire opportunity for an Assistant Buyer. We are looking for an experienced Buyer who excels in a fast-paced environment.

In this position you will play an important role in the Purchasing Department reporting directly to the Senior Buyer.


  • Identifying the organizations purchasing needs via requests for quotation and purchase order requisitions.

  • Issuing and managing requests for quotation to outside vendors.

  • Issuing and managing purchase orders, ensuring the best value for the company based on cost, quality and delivery.

  • Expediting past due purchased material.

  • Create and manage non conformance reports for issues with purchased materials as needed.

  • Assisting Accounting Department with invoice problems/resolutions.

  • Other departmental duties as assigned.


  • Minimum of 2 or more years hands-on experience in a highly active purchasing or directly related role.

  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups, etc.)

  • Strong communication skills, comfortable with interfacing with vendors daily via phone and email.

  • An Associates or undergraduate degree in a related field is strongly preferred as is a minimum of 2 years of work-related experience.

  • Experience working in a regulated (ITAR and ISO) atmosphere preferred.

Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 40 hours per week, with overtime as dictated by company needs
