RBA Staffing has a direct hire opportunity in Rochester for a Demand Planner!

Working closely with Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Operations, the Demand Planner will support the process of developing and communicating the forecast that drives the Purchasing Replenishment, Financial updates, and our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Using industry best practices and strategies (EOQ, min/max, seasonal, and etc.), demand planning duties including using company systems and data to estimate future product demand, analyze inventory flow, and develop forecast models.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage SKU-level forecasts within the ERP, implementing best-fit statistical models supplemented with feedback from key stakeholders.

  • Lead Demand/Forecast Review meetings with Sales and Supply Chain.

  • Integrate the Demand Review results into the Executive S&OP process

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to influence the demand on the supply chain and prioritize demand for order fulfillment based on business objectives and customer segmentation/location.

  • Analyze market demand against internal stocking levels, adjust warehouse forecasts, and balance inventory to maximize first warehouse fill, and minimize internal stocking transfer activity.

  • Drive improvement in the company’s key metrics, including forecast accuracy, fill rate, inventory turns, GMROI, and EBITDA.

  • Consult with functional teams such as purchasing agents, sales, marketing, operations, finance, and product management to obtain relevant data and insights on demand.

  • Ensure accuracy in the data and settings and troubleshoot system issues as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, logistics, finance, engineering, mathematics, statistical analysis, or related major required.

  • 3-5 years of planning experience in a multi-product / multi-location environment, preferably industrial goods

  • APICS certification a plus.

  • Advanced data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, or similar tools.

  • Travel up to 10%.
