RBA Staffing has a direct hire opportunity in Rochester for a Technical Service Associate - experienced with PLC's, Motors and Drives! A full job description will be provided to qualified candidates

Position Description

Pre and post-sale support for Variable Frequency Drives, Soft starters, across the line starter packages and loose controls. Determine the customer specific technical issue and successfully troubleshoot said issue with the provided tools.

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Provide technical phone support.

  • Log incoming service calls and document trends.

  • Provide after hours phone support on a rotating basis.

  • Perform evaluations on all defective product and submit report for warranty / non-warranty consideration.

  • Support inside and outside sales with any technical or product information.

  • Manage parts and stock in our service facility in a clean and orderly fashion.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Associates degree and 3+ years of experience in a panel shop environment working with industrial customers.

  • 3+ years of experience in controls, drives or motor applications engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical documents (drawings).

  • Previous experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% primarily in the US.
