RBA Staffing has begun its recruiting efforts for a local growing Industrial leader. We have a direct hire Instrumentation and Calibration Technician position. Below are some of the job duties and responsibilities - A full job spec can be provided to qualified/interested candidates.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing instrumentation services including troubleshooting, configuration, installation, documentation, calibration, and commissioning of instrumentation in support of our various product lines.

  • Planning and scheduling work with clients. Managing workload to maintain effectiveness and excellent customer support.

  • Accurately documenting instrumentation service work and actively sharing instrumentation information with clients. Documentation will include quotes, work orders, billing worksheets, timesheets, and calibration documentation.

  • Maintain instrument as-built documentation.

  • Experience with bus communication protocols is a plus.

  • Remove pressure and temperature devices and perform calibrations to ensure accuracy

  • Test instruments with PLCs to ensure proper operation.

  • Install various instruments such as recorders, controllers, and transmitters.

  • Install, audit (voltage/amp check), and commission heat trace to ensure proper heating and functionality.

  • Perform wire terminations on instruments and PLC panels is a plus.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associates degree in a technical field or 2 to 5 years of related experience; experience in configuration, calibration, installation, application, specification, maintenance, electrical construction, and/or troubleshooting industrial instrumentation.

  • Or equivalent combination of education and related experience/training

  • Valid driver's license is required and clean driving record

  • Ability to travel up to 75-100% of the time
