*Will rotate when on call on Saturday & Sunday
Duties
To perform a variety of semiskilled tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of City Water and waste water facilities. This is the entry level class in the Utility Department. Utilities Maintenance worker I performs more routine tasks and duties assigned under close supervision.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Understand and follow oral and written instructions
Proper Lifting techniques
Operations of variety of tools, machinery and equipment relevant to work assignments
Perform physical requirements on the job
perform work in an undesirable or hazardous environment including inclement weather, confined spaces improper illumination of traffic
Since this position is typically used as a training class, employees may have limited or no related work experience.
