Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location:Chico, TX
Pay Range: $22.50–$32.96/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 10 days on, 4 days off | 8:00 PM–6:00 AM
What You'll Be Doing
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, with a focus on quarry and conveyor systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Conduct wire, MIG, and stick welding for equipment repairs and fabrication.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Collaborate with team members to improve plant operations and equipment performance.
What We're Looking For
Required:
Quarry/conveyor maintenance experience
Proficiency in wire, MIG, and stick welding
Stable work history showcasing reliability and dedication
Preferred:
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Commitment to safety and quality in all tasks
Conditions of Employment
Must pass a post-offer pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
Some positions may require FMCSA-regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
Work Environment
Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels
Physical Demands
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Capability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
