Job description

Our client designs and manufactures heating, cooling, and dehumidification products, primarily for commercial and industrial use. They also specializes in 100% outdoor air units, including rooftop and split systems and heat pumps. The company also makes automated controllers and air handling units. This company is operating since 1949 .

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER - OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Process Improvement Engineer conducts/participates in continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste through implementation of lean principles and standardized tools to support manufacturing and project teams. This position works with the production team to design and implement electronically designed sub-assemblies for production.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER - MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in the creation of CAD designed sub assemblies for production

  • Perform project work in support of the implementation of Lean principles.

  • Assist in the preparation of Kaizen and 5S events including follow-up and event audits.

  • Ensures a safe and healthy workplace while implementing improvements.

  • Any and all other duties assigned by a direct supervisor and/or member of management.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER - REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:

  • Engineering or Technical career

  • 3 years of experience of design with Solid Works or Solid Edge CAD software required

  • Minimum of 2 years previous job experience implementing lean principles in a manufacturing site.

  • Experience with piping design for units.

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing or principles.

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.

  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to influence other team members without direct authority across all functions and areas of the business to be able to implement improvements and sustain results.

  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while supporting multiple projects or Kaizen events.

  • Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the Management and co-workers.

  • Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers and peers.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
