Licensing Approvals Coordinator

Seeking an individual who excels at attention to detail, organization, and communication. This position will require a commitment to the processes of Open Road Brands and its affiliates. This individual will work closely with our category, production, and operations teams. In addition, a Licensing Approvals Coordinator will build relationships with various partners outside of Open Road Brands.

Responsibilities:

• Assess if the product is suitable to present to licensors.
• Understand the process that licensors require for granting approval.
• Work with Category Management, Design Team, and Licensor, determining the preferred path to approvals across several stages.
• Analyze product and approvals history within varying channels.
• Ensure that Open Road Brands product meets the legal requirements set by the licensed partners
• Organize approvals notes effectively, following the established format.
• Creates or adapts effective methods for organizing emails and other files.
• Submit concept images and samples to the licensor to gain approvals.
• Collect and communicate information on behalf of Open Road Brands' category management and licensors.
• Enter and collect data across multiple approvals platforms.
• Meet entry-level metrics set by the Licensing Approvals Manager.
• The marginal functions of this position have not been included. An employee will be required to carry out any other job-related duties assigned by the manager, which may consist of some physical task work.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to represent the interests of Open Road Brands.
• Motivated self-starter who can efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Good recall; able to remember specific details of projects they are involved with.
• Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships.
• Handles criticism well; remains level-headed in difficult situations.
• Computer skills, including experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to perform physical duties, including but not limited to lifting up to 20 pounds and standing for a prolonged period.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with data entry
• Exceptional digital organization skills
• Knowledge of POP culture and an interest in Open Road Brands license.
