Land Survey Technician

Are you interested in or would like to learn more about Land Surveying? We are seeking a Survey Technician to join our client's team in Chandler, AZ! The ideal candidate is someone who is interested in surveying or construction work and will assist in various entry level land surveying activities and work as part of a survey crew.

Responsibilities:

• Cleans survey truck, equipment, and tools.
• Keeps survey truck stocked with necessary supplies and tools.
• Loads and unloads equipment and supplies used by the survey crew.
• Set-up and operate survey equipment.
• Communicate with crew members to maximize efficiency.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Review or check the work product of others.
• Understand and comply with written/oral instructions in the English language.
• Complete forms and report information in standard format.
• Ability to travel is a plus.

Requirements:

• Travel across rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces at construction sites.
• Move objects between 20-50 pounds long distances (20 feet or more).
• Use a 16-pound sledgehammer.
• Walk distances up to a ½ mile at a time, up to five miles per day.
• Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time.
• Work outside in all seasons/weather conditions.
• Work inside on hard surfaces.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of construction, boundary, and topographic surveys.
• College or technical courses in mathematics or surveying a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.

Pay: $19-23/hr DOE
Shift: Monday-Friday 6am-3:30pm
