Assistant on-site technician who reports directly to the Supervisor and Lead Restoration Technician. Responsible to handle specific tasks associated with smoke, water, mold, biorecovery, and environmental restoration projects. Ensures that projects are documented properly. Primary roles and responsibilities of the Assistant Restoration Technician: • Work a rotating on-call schedule and overtime as needed • Responsible for following instruction on day to day field operations • Set up and operation of drying and extraction equipment • Handle specific tasks related to structure and content cleaning • Maintain daily readings (moisture, humidity, etc.) • Maintenance and cleaning of equipment and vehicles • Attend and participate in on-going training and certification as needed. • Handle tasks such as controlled removal, cleaning of surfaces and monitoring of equipment as directed by Lead Restoration Technician • Understanding of the performance and function of all equipment used on job sites • Knowledgeable of the composition of all chemicals used and the SDS required to accompany each. Working conditions can vary based on job site. Assistant Restoration Technicians may be exposed to extreme temperatures, confined spaces, surface and/or airborne contaminants, and other undesirable working conditions. This position may require the use of personal protective equipment.
