WEEKEND FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Saturday and Sunday - Weekend Forklift Operator

12 hours for each Saturday and Sunday

*  This position will be responsible for reporting to and receiving direction from the Plant Manager. 

*  Utilize a rotating forklift to load, unload, and feed material through the plant

*  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe plant.

*  Meet established plant production goals, i.e. chop rates, change out times, shredding, etc

Knowledge required:

• Proven experience as a machine operator

• Manufacturing knowledge

• Safe and proficient forklift operator

• Mechanical aptitude-knowledge of hand tools, etc. to perform routine production maintenance

Skills required:

• Outstanding organizational skills

• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and policy

• Ability to adapt to constant changing situations

• Ability to work well under pressure with demands and deadlines

• Excellent presence and work ethic

• Teamwork and effective communication skills

Working Conditions:  Working conditions are normal for a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Exposure may involve lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, safety vest, hearing protectors, and steel toed work boots, with metal sole liners. As in most manufacturing jobs, the environment will be loud/noisy. Subject to regular bending, twisting, reaching, working overhead, and working above ground and/or on irregular surfaces.
