Overview
KCKS Dock / Warehouse Worker will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products and related materials utilizing equipment including, but not limited to sit down and stand up forklifts, stand up straddle trucks, walk behinds, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks and radio frequency equipment. Keeping all areas clean and organized, using daily and weekly cleaning lists or Supervisor request.
Responsibilities
- Hand-loading containers, stacking 6', 50lbs above head.
- Will not be on Stand-up forklift entire shift! Will also be responsible for labor work 80-90% of the shift.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Equipment to include (but not limited to) stand up forklifts, stand up straddle trucks, walk behinds, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks and radio frequency equipment.
- Working in freezer warehouse ( controlled temperatures of ZERO degrees Fahrenheit).
- Safely transport materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring proper stacking and storage.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing order picking processes.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols while operating machinery.
- Assist in order picking and preparing shipments for distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Manual stacking in trailers to ensure proper placement of product. Must be able to lift 50-75lb cases into container .
- Previous stand-up forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Ride-on pallet jack experience.
- Familiarity with order picking processes in freezer cold storage.
- Steel toe shoes. Winter weather gear. Cold storage area is -5 degree temps.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- High School Diploma/ GED.
- Pass hiring screening including background and drug screen.
