Job Summary
Support daily traffic control operations by setting up, maintaining, and tearing down work zones while following all safety standards. Learn and develop traffic control skills, operate equipment safely, and ensure a safe environment for motorists and crew members.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control equipment and work zones.

  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance on traffic signs and related equipment.

  • Operate and inspect trucks, tools, and equipment in compliance with company and DOT regulations.

  • Follow all OSHA, state, and federal safety guidelines.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and the public.

  • Identify and report safety hazards and maintenance needs.

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized equipment and work areas.

  • Learn and use quantity sheets and standard operating procedures.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to read route maps and street signage.

  • Safe and efficient operation of trucks and equipment.

  • Strong work ethic and reliability.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Basic arithmetic skills.

  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn traffic control techniques and safety regulations.

  • Ability to build positive working relationships.

Preferred

  • Entry-level role; training provided.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • One year of construction, road maintenance, or general labor experience.
