Job Summary - Plant Technician
$21.22/hr + 10% increase upon rolling perm
Operate and support the operation of basic to advanced PLC metal forming, punch, and stamping machines, maintain safe work behavior, and drive efforts in safety, housekeeping, 5S, quality, and productivity to meet the production output and quality goals.
Understanding of LOTO; monitor machines for abnormalities; knowing when to call Maintenance. Ability to be taught on QA using custom gauges and meters for quality checks. Read a measure tape, and decipher drawings of finish part and comparing it to what is produced.
Some duties:
- Industrial production working on machines such as: Presses, shears, optical lasers, etc.. PLC, CAD, CAM. Maintenance fields of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic are helpful.
- Sometimes use of Calipers and micrometers.
- Steel toes/Composite
- Long work pants (canvas or denim).
- Sleeved shirts (t-shirt or long sleeve shirt OK) NO TANK TOPS!
- SCHEDULE: 7:30am-4:30pm, MON - FRI
- $21.22/hr pay rate
- Screenings conducted: E-verify; drug screen ; background check
Some of the qualifications:
- Education: High school degree, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Prior industrial factory experience highly preferred
- This position requires a strong focus on safety.
- Ability to read, write, and do basic math in English
- Ability to read basic print facts and follow production orders
- Mechanical capabilities
- Ability to work in a team environment and able to train others
- Must be able to carry out detailed written or oral instruction
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Forklift
- 10 pc/ min goal
