This is a full-time role working independently in our Taren Point, NSW office, and reporting to IT Management in our head office in Kansas USA
In this pivotal position you will provide comprehensive support across end-user workstations, server environments, networks, applications, and Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Office 365 and Power Platform (PowerApps). You will serve as a local point of contact for day-to-day IT support, while also supporting broader enterprise initiatives in collaboration with our global IT team.
What you'll be doing:
Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps)
- Perform and Support PowerApps applications and development
- Assist users in troubleshooting, enhancing, or creating basic PowerApps solutions.
- Work with internal teams to automate workflows using Power Automate.
Workstation Support
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices (Windows OS primarily).
- Configure and deploy new hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals).
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and escalate when necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, and updates.
Server Support
- Provide basic to intermediate support for on-premise and cloud-based servers (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022,2025).
- Assist with monitoring, backups, and patch management.
- Coordinate with USA infrastructure team for escalations or deployments.
Network Support
- Provide onsite hands and eyes support for network infrastructure (switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls).
- Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, and network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with VPN concepts and basic troubleshooting of remote access connectivity issues.
- Liaise with vendors or ISPs for outages or upgrades.
Application Support
- Support locally used business applications and escalate to global application teams as needed.
- Provide user training and troubleshoot application issues.
- Maintain software licensing and documentation.
Active Directory Support
- Manage user accounts, security groups, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding workflows.
- Basic PowerShell scripting for common AD tasks is a plus.
Experience needed:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a similar IT support role.
- Permanent full working rights in Australia are compulsory
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows OS, Office 365, Active Directory).
- Microsoft certifications (MCP, MCSA, or Microsoft 365 certs) would be valued highly but are not compulsory
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and software deployment tools.
- Experience in a multi-site or global environment would be valued highly but is not compulsory
- Familiarity with server administration and basic virtualization concepts (VMware or Hyper-V).
- Experience in supporting business applications and user training.
- Working knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Exposure to PowerApps and Power Automate; ability to support and build solutions.
- Scripting experience (PowerShell) for automation and AD management would be valued highly.
- Basic understanding of ITIL principles and service desk operations.
