Quality Assurance Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated QA Assistant with a background in Industrial Engineering to support the Quality Director (QA).  This role will focus on assisting with quality assurance processes, data analysis, and process improvement in our QA/Manufacturing.  Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.


Job Summary

An employee assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by the Director.


Job Duties

  • Quality Control Support:  Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring QA processes to ensure compliance with industry standards (AS9100)
  • Data Collection & Analysis:  Collect and analyze data from inspections and quality reports to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Documentation & Reporting:  Assist in organizing quality control documents, including NCRs/CA’s and audit reports, ensuring timely and accurate recordkeeping. 
  • Process Improvement:  Work with QA Director to develop, test and implement improvements in quality procedures and workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:  Collaborate with engineering, production and QC teams to resolve quality issues and communicate changes in QA procedures.
  • Compliance Audits:   Support internal and external audit preparations by compiling necessary documents and reviewing QA procedures.
  • Other Duties as Assigned:  Perform other related duties to support the QA Director and team.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional Requirements
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and statistical methods.
  • Familiarity with quality standards like AS9100, ISO 9001 or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or coursework related to manufacturing, quality control or process improvement.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment, including but not limited to phones, printers, copiers and calculators.
  • Ability to communicate with other and accurately exchange information.

Job Type:  Full-time.  Mon-Thurs 6:30am-5:00pm & OT on Fri/Sat as needed.

Compensation:  $19-21/hour
