We are seeking a remote AI Senior Architect to join our Automation and Efficiency team within the US Global Investor and Distribution Services Division. This critical role focuses on the planning, evaluation, and execution of Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven automation initiatives, from managing and completing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and the intake of potential use cases for AI solutions, to the deployment of models and solutions. You will be responsible for high-level architecture and hands-on coding, model development, and technical execution to deliver impactful solutions that improve operational efficiency.

What you get to do:

  • Proof of Concept (PoC) Management: Lead the development and execution of PoCs to validate AI technologies and assess their feasibility and value in real-world applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to define success criteria, ensure proper testing, and provide clear recommendations on whether to move forward with full-scale implementation.
  • Manage Use Case Intake: Oversee the intake and evaluation of potential AI use cases from business and operational teams. Assess these opportunities' viability, complexity, and expected impact, prioritizing them based on business needs and technical feasibility. Work with cross-functional teams to move selected use cases into the development pipeline.
  • Solution Architecture & Execution: Design and implement AI-driven solutions that enhance automation and operational efficiency. Ensure that all solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Coding and Model Development: Actively participate in the coding, model development, and technical execution of AI solutions, particularly during the PoC phase. This includes writing code to develop machine learning models, building data pipelines, and integrating AI solutions into existing technology stacks.
  • Technical Execution of PoCs: In addition to managing PoCs, take a hands-on approach to their technical execution. This includes building and testing prototypes, refining models, and ensuring that they meet business requirements and technical standards.
  • Coordinate and Align with AI Enterprise and GIDS Technology Teams: Act as a bridge between the Automation and Efficiency team and the broader AI Enterprise and GIDS Technology teams. Ensure that AI initiatives are aligned with overall enterprise AI strategy and technology frameworks. Collaborate closely with these teams to leverage existing infrastructure, share best practices, and ensure seamless integration of AI solutions across the organization.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve the performance of AI models, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Implement feedback loops for model refinement and optimization.
  • Innovation & Technology Evaluation: Stay current with the latest trends in AI and machine learning technologies. Evaluate new tools, platforms, and methodologies to improve automation and operational processes within financial services.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Act as an AI expert and technical leader, guiding the development team through the design and implementation phases. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure that AI solutions align with business objectives.
  • Project Management: Support or lead AI project delivery, managing resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations to ensure smooth execution. Ensure thorough testing, deployment, and production processes for maximum operational impact.
  • Data Governance & Security: Maintain strict adherence to data privacy, governance, and security standards in all AI implementations, particularly when handling sensitive financial and customer data.


Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Sciences, AI, machine learning, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in managing PoCs, from conception through evaluation and execution, with hands-on technical involvement.
  • Experience in coding and model development, with strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience in managing intake and evaluation of AI use cases, with a focus on impact-driven prioritization.
  • Strong background in LLMs, data engineering, ETL, machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and NLP.
  • Experience in deploying Analytics and AI/ML models in production environments, using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with RPA and BPM platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
