The Client Relationship Specialist (CRS) role is essential to our company as they spend time building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and prospects. It’s important to have a high attention to detail as the CRS frequently performs data entry for account maintenance, populate documents, answers account inquiries and solve problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with financial advisors to deliver high quality customer service. This includes attending client meetings to provide ongoing support and assistance during appointments and allows CRS to meet the client and begin building the team relationship.
- Responds to client service requests in a timely and professional manner while achieving high levels of accuracy. Client service requests include assisting with withdrawals, deposits, address changes, setting appointments, accessing client portals, fixing paperwork submitted not in good order, and explaining financial concepts, statements and transactions.
- Maintains consistent and positive client communication through proactive client meetings, service calls, as well as ongoing support and assistance.
- Maintains and becomes a proficient user of client databases and includes the Client Resource Management system (i.e., XLR8 for Salesforce), Portfolio Management System (i.e., Envestnet/Tamarac), custodian platforms (i.e., Schwab Advisor Center).
- Prepares new account forms, service forms, and checks for errors.
- Conducts research to find answers to financial related questions as requested.
- Assists clients with new account opening process, financial transactions, and related financial institution tasks along with providing updates to the client during these activities.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of benefits provided by cities employing current and potential clients.
- Assists clients in accessing and operating client portals.
- Submits trade requests to trading team with clear and thorough trading instructions.
- Assists with projects assigned by senior management when approved by reporting supervisor.

Language Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, contact management systems, customer relations management systems, Microsoft Outlook, Portfolio Center, and Tamarac Advisor Rebalancing.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
Financial industry training preferred
Certificates and Licenses:
FINRA Securities 7/66 or 65 licenses preferred
