Senior Tax Preparer & Reviewer

We’re partnering with a well-established CPA firm in Peoria, AZ, to find a Senior Tax Preparer & Reviewer who brings a blend of experience, accuracy, and a collaborative mindset.

This is a hands-on, on-site, Direct hire role—perfect for a seasoned tax professional seeking a long-term fit with growth potential.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM- 5PM

Salary: 70K - 80K DOE

About the Role:

This senior-level, non-supervisory position involves preparing and reviewing both personal and business tax returns. The work will be split between individual and business clients—primarily 1065 partnerships and 1120-S S corporations—with the exact mix determined by the firm's needs and your level of experience.

While the role is not supervisory to start, there is opportunity for future growth and increased responsibility based on performance and firm development.

What You’ll Do:
? Prepare and review a variety of individual and business tax returns
? Collaborate with team members to ensure timely, accurate filings
? Provide expert tax guidance to clients and junior staff
? Stay current on relevant federal and state tax regulations

What We’re Looking For:

Must-Haves:

• At least 2 years or more of tax preparation and review experience
• Strong experience with business tax returns, especially 1065s and 1120-Ss
• Strong understanding of federal and Arizona state tax regulations
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
• A dependable team player with a commitment to client service and integrity

Nice-to-Haves:

• Enrolled Agent certification (or actively working toward it)
• Background in accounting or bookkeeping
