GOODYEAR, AZ
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing outgoing shipments in a distribution center environment. The Shipping Associate will fill orders and deliver them to their destination in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
Shipping Associate Responsibilities
-Assist with replenishment picking when directed by Shipping Supervisor. When replenishing full pallets onto lower racking locations, remove plastic film before placing into location. Always check for existing open cases and never put full cases in front of empty cases. If replenishment location is too full of product, check with Inventory Control Supervisor regarding alternate location.
-Follow directions of Dock Lead regarding which pick to sign on to (Group, Case, Pallet, Label). Scan, pick and count each item correctly, double checking and verifying your work. Ensure that orders for shipment are 100% accurate. When full case quantities are broken into during group picking, cut the tops off the boxes and empty boxes to discard when you’re finished.
-Confirm picks and place in correct staging area.
-Keep all work areas clean and organized.
-Always protect and take care of scanning equipment. Return all scanners to correct storage areas at the end of each day. Report any damaged equipment immediately to Dock Lead or Shipping Supervisor.
-Never lift anything you think is too heavy. Always ask for help when necessary. Attend all safety training meetings. Be aware of safety violations and notify Dock Lead or Shipping Supervisor immediately if any are noted.
-Report any damaged material, short quantities or discrepancies to Dock Lead, Shipping Supervisor, or Inventory Control Supervisor immediately.
-Always check with Dock Lead and/or Shipping Supervisor when work is complete for additional tasks.
