TEMPE, AZ
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler / Forklift Mechanic to join our client's team in Tempe, AZ. This position requires hands-on experience maintaining and repairing forklifts—particularly hydraulic systems—while also supporting day-to-day material handling operations. This is a first-shift position with steady weekday hours and competitive pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move inventory.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on forklifts and related equipment, with a focus on hydraulic systems.
- Support production and warehouse teams by ensuring timely delivery and staging of materials.
- Track inventory movement and equipment service using basic documentation or digital systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a forklift mechanic, including hydraulic system repair and maintenance.
Must be capable of safe and effective operation of material handling equipment.
Own tools are required for the mechanic portion of the role.
Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Dependable with strong attention to safety and detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active setting.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $24.00 – $29.00 per hour (DOE)
