CNC Production Supervisor

Responsibilities and Duties:

As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities
expected of the CNC Production Supervisor. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject
to change as the needs of the organization require.

• Supervise team to meet company expectations of safety rules and regulations,

quality standards, customer satisfaction, productivity, and on-time delivery.

• Supervise and coordinate activities of saw production, material handling, and

shipping/receiving.

• Records, safety, production, attendance, performance appraisals, and disciplinary

performance and report to Operations Manager.

• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and

quality of product to increase overall efficiency.

• Analyze and resolve work problems and assist production employees in resolving

issues.

• Change work roles of members of the team, such as reassigning tasks, as necessary.
• Coordinate schedules, assign responsibilities, and make sure that everything runs

smoothly during the assigned shift.

• Control expenditures of departmental consumables including all packaging supplies.
• Report notable events or problems to the proper level of management.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to meet organizational goals.
• Maintain and train team members on latest revisions to company policies and

procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two or more years of related experience working with saws or machinery
• One or more years of managerial/supervisory experience
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
• Ability to read and calculate numbers and data
• Ability to measure using different tools
• Operate with high integrity and ensure same standards from subordinates
• Strong work ethic; initiative-taking

Preferred Qualifications:

One or more years in the metals service center industry
