Introduction: We are seeking an experienced and certified Epic Beaker AP Consultant with a strong background in healthcare Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). This role requires expertise in implementing Epic Beaker AP within a lab setting, particularly for clients transitioning from one LIS to another. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the implementation of Epic Beaker AP in laboratory settings, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with organizational workflows and processes.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance and support during the entire implementation lifecycle, including planning, configuration, testing, and go-live.
Work closely with client teams to assess current LIS environments and manage the transition to Epic Beaker AP, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum operational efficiency.
Provide in-depth knowledge of Epic Beaker AP functionalities and best practices to optimize client laboratory operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to configure and test the system to meet the specific needs of the client.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Epic Beaker AP, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction.
Prepare and deliver training materials to client staff, ensuring successful user adoption and system utilization.
Document implementation processes, workflows, and system configurations for future reference.
Stay current with Epic Beaker AP and healthcare LIS advancements, offering recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Epic Beaker AP Certification is required.
Proven experience with the full Epic Beaker AP implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and post-go-live support.
Strong background in healthcare LIS, particularly in lab settings and transitioning between different LIS platforms.
Experience working on projects involving the transition from one LIS to another within a laboratory environment.
Knowledge of Epic Bridges and Clinical Pathways (CP) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Familiarity with laboratory workflows, processes, and standards is highly preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Epic Bridges and Clinical Pathways (CP) knowledge/experience.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results on time.
Experience in supporting laboratory departments with system optimization and process improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with HL7 interfaces, integration points, and overall healthcare IT ecosystem.
