Work Environment:
Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration. Frequent exposure to various chemicals used in the retread process. Noise level in the work environment can be loud; safety equipment will be provided as needed. Daily working with hands, troubleshooting equipment and being able to make necessary maintenance repairs.
Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, twisting, and bending; occasional sitting. Must be able to visually inspect tires, tire flow and equipment in order to assess potential problems. Regularly lift, upright, push, or move 50lbs. - 100lbs.; occasionally upright, push, or move 100+ pounds.
Job Requirements:
Preferred: 2+ years of management experience.
Strongly Preferred: 5+ years of Bandag retread experience or equivalent expertise.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Office, BASys system, Teams, Excel, Outlook and iOS platforms.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of personal and business information.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and co-workers.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
Skilled in troubleshooting equipment using tools such as voltmeters and pressure gauges, with the ability to perform mechanical repairs to specification.
Thorough knowledge of maintenance requirements for NDTs, buffers, builders, and chambers.
Driver's License required, with ability to pass pre-employment driver's file.
Ability to attend all company training events.
Education/Training:
Technical Certificate or Associate's Degree Preferred. TIA/Bandag certification or willingness to obtain. Bandag CRT, ATA, OOSTA, Master Craftsman Certification, or willingness to obtain.
