Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled and experienced individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working with a small, agile team. The successful candidate will serve as a specialist for AWS while also managing and supporting other critical systems such as productivity and collaboration platforms, InfoSec tools, and items related to compliance and certifications such as PCI and SOC. They will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and improving our cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.
Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Manage and monitor system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of services.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to improve system scalability and deployment processes.
• Develop and implement DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and automation.
• Ensure systems are up-to-date, secure, and compliant with frameworks such as PCI DSS and SOC 2, following InfoSec and compliance best practices.
• Continuously evaluate and implement tools and technologies to improve efficiency and performance.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for incidents and outages.
• Establish and maintain observability and monitoring systems for proactive performance management.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, and VPC.
• 3+ years of experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Helm, Docker..
• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes.
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Experience with server administration, particularly Linux systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization, along with related tools.
• Strong scripting and programming skills with Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and cloud architecture patterns.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with a small team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple projects.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2) and experience implementing security controls.
