Pinnacle Staffing is looking to fill immediate openings for Full-time Quality Assurance Technician position for our client located in Lake Mary, Florida. 32746.  Must have metal fabrication experience as it relates to this role.

  • Salary:  $13-$18.00  Based on Qualifications 
  •  Schedule: MF 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. (2nd shift) Must be able to train on 1st shift.
  • Type: Temporary to Permanent 


Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for overseeing quality assurance functions, ensuring adherence to quality policies, procedures, and programs to meet ISO 9001:2015 standards and customer specifications. Prior experience in metal fabrication is required, as this role involves working with production staff to enhance quality awareness and improve processes specific to metalworking. The technician plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction while promoting a culture of quality within the organization. Close collaboration with production teams is essential to ensure continuous process improvements and high-quality outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure personal and team safety by following protocols and reporting concerns.
  • Adhere to the company’s Quality Policy and Objectives; audit and prepare reports (WIP Sheets) based on customer prints.
  • Document nonconforming materials and manage QMS records, including internal audits and corrective actions.
  • Maintain the MRB area and handle material disposition.
  • Be knowledgeable in NCMR forms and 8D reports; understand ISO 9001 requirements and QMS processes.
  • Oversee 1st Piece Approval, assist with print interpretation, and operate advanced quality instruments (CMM, Faro Arm, Virtek, laser scanners).
  • Perform inspections, audits, process capability studies, and support root cause analysis.
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives and train staff; calibrate instruments using Gage Pack software.
  • Ensure proper product identification, traceability, and HOLD tags for suspected defects.
  • Approve work after first piece approval or rework and complete receiving inspections.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining quality control and using sampling plans to minimize defects and costs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in other duties as directed by the Quality Supervisor or Manager.
  • Support the development of Continuous Improvement tasks.


Non-Essential Duties:

  • Participate in company initiatives, programs, events, and meetings aimed at employee development.
  • Supervise the Quality Clerk and Technician 1 as needed in the absence of the Quality Supervisor or Manager.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Experience: 1-5 years in a Quality Engineering/Technician role; 1-2 years of supervisory experience.


  • Computer Skills: Proficient in CAD, Microsoft Office, SPC-based software, and Excel.


  • Special Requirements:
  • Proficiency in GD&T, blueprint reading, SPC, PPAP submissions (including FMEA), GAGE R&R, and Control Plan creation.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, including stamping, laser cutting, CNC punch, press brake, and welding.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and be a team player.


Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, procedures, and specifications.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries and generate concise reports and graphs for presentation
