Accounts Payable - Temp - San Rafael - $31.47/hour

Immediate need for an accounts payable professional with strong Excel skills to ensure smooth operations across a wide range of fiscal and administrative functions. This is an exciting opportunity to lend your A/P skills to a mission driven educational organization assisting students throughout Marin.

• Duration: Temp through June 30^th, and possibly through August

• Location: 100% On site in San Rafael

• Schedule: Full-time; Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

• Background: Hire contingent on a clear criminal background (LiveScan fingerprinting)

You will:

• Perform high volume purchasing and accounts payable functions.

• Prepare cash receipt deposits and invoices; audit and reconcile various funds and accounts.

• Monitor outstanding payments and invoices.

• Receive, review, and process purchase orders.

• Audit, produce, and process vendor payments.

• Maintain a variety of control functions.

• Generate a broad variety of reports.

• Establish and maintain a large variety of file systems.

You have:

• 2+ years of increasingly responsible experience processing accounts payable.

• Prior accounting experience in an educational setting is preferred.

• Basic bookkeeping experience.

• Microsoft Excel, database and report development proficiency.

• Communication skills demonstrating tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to individual concerns

• High school diploma or equivalent
