Human Resources Specialist – Temp-to-Hire – Novato/hybrid – $40 -$45/hour

We are seeking a Human Resources professional to join a cohesive, dynamic team for this exciting temp to hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with and managing employee sabbaticals while handling sensitive conversations with staff and colleagues

Position Details:

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

• Location: Hybrid (onsite weekly in Novato, CA

• Duration: temp to hire

• Pre-Hire Requirements: Clear criminal background check prior to starting

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and process leave of absence (LOA) requests

• Provide guidance on policies and procedures

• Determine qualifications and claims processing

• Interdepartmental collaboration to ensure seamless transitions

• Coordinate external partners to facilitate resolution

• Maintain confidentiality and compliance

Ideal Qualifications:

• 3+ years of HR experience with direct leave of absence administration

• Proficiency in leave laws and compliance

• Excel skills - intermediate

• HRIS system experience
